FAMILY:

As a congregation, we support families!  Children are MOST welcome to worship and church.  There are Sunday worship bags filled with books and things for the little ones to carry into church.

Sunday School begins for children 3 years old and up.  Our Sunday School begins in September and continues in June.  In the summer, we have many activities for children.  For example, in the past we have had an arts and crafts camp, a day camp for teenagers (with the other Lutheran Churches), vacation bible school and the annual Family Fun Fest in August.

Families participate in the Crop Walk, attend Lafayette College sporting events, sing as part of the worship services, collect needed items for various outreach programs.

We are a growing church and plan programs based on the needs and desires of families.

Breakfast at Sunday School and van rides
St. John’s supports families by offering a light breakfast (cereal, fresh milk, juice) on Sunday mornings before Sunday School.  We offer transportation for children who wish to come to Sunday School and do not have transportation.  Contact the church office.

Church Service
Children are welcome to attend the worship service. There is a "Childrens Chat" before the Sermon every Sunday. If you are interested, we also have a staffed Nursery available during the church service.
